When I stopped praying and going to church I acquired many demons
I felt so alone back then, felt hopeless but now is so much different
Where I thought I had a relationship with God, prayer alone was not enough
Nor was doing good deeds that gave me a phase impression of being good
At least not awful as I didn’t have the best self-esteem
Once I knew it took penance, sacrifice, and steadfast devotion to His word
In addition to an increase in prayer, then my whole world changed
I discovered what it is to be new and slowly God would smooth my everyday
Things I had done wrong for years God showed me a much better way
My decisions would be fruitful and my work would come out just right
Whatever the case, turns alright, God as my resolve who took the fight
Steps guided, feeling confident, secure, and safe in His fatherly loving care
Having the strength to handle harsh crosses as He carried me every time
Answered prayers like never before the more I put in and the harder I tried
A peace that can only come from the most Divine that I didn’t think possible
In the darkest storms of life, Christ made sure I always saw the light
Rescued each one of us including those I know despite the constant battle
Grateful for the gifts He blessed me with and the miracles I never deserved
Became the love of my heart who is first in everything I do
Most importantly shows us how to truly love from His love and ours for Him
The sweetest Mother’s Day I ever had, all together, and felt so loved
The highlight of every morning, romance throughout my path in praise
Forever Yours dear God, joy and peace would not surround but for His grace
