Aimee Cabo Nikolov’s book, Inspired by the Holy Ghost, provides a collection of poems inspired by songs from popular artists and guided by her contemplative prayers for the inspiration to comfort and reassure readers of a universally desired truth: They are loved.
This book includes poetry inspired by 48 songs, each prefaced by a short biblical quote superimposed on a beautiful piece of correlating artwork. While the title and artist are provided for each song, the lyrics to those songs are not. Instead, Nikolov provides a unique poem drawn from her musings while listening to that particular song.
Nikolov has a radio talk show called, The Cure, and each song-inspired poem is followed by a listing of the episode from her show that corresponds to the song, as well as a link to a full video podcast, allowing each poem to become a full-spectrum experience.
Nikolov has shared these poems in an effort to help others connect with God and to reassure them that they are not alone in their feelings. Her poems cover a range of weighty topics, including self-doubt, lack of faith, moving forward from negative past experiences, and finding joy.
