#MercifulPouringGrace
I learned that the Eucharist offered in mass is for the hungry soul
I had a hard time accepting venial sin as any disobedience to Him is grave
Mainly because He is so good and we are underserving of His love
Is it enough to withhold from receiving the sacrificial offering at the altar?
Must we be in a state of grace which most consider no sin?
Then confessions would be multiple times a week since sin is common
Could we use it as a deterrent when only God could supply such a grace
Not to say we shouldn’t still confess the venial sin or do our part
Whatever it takes as difficult it may be, doing it all for His sake
A saint said confessing small sins helps us not commit the bigger ones
If we consider much to be venial, how will we grow, feel blessed and more at peace?
Will we feel the joy that only He gives should we give Christ His due?
We are one body with Christ and called to be like Him
While some view saints to be regular they expressed extraordinary wisdom
We all struggle the same with different trials, tailor-made to our needs
We want to do better by Him than our weaknesses should it be His will
Meanwhile doing what He asked in memory of Him as imperfect as we are
Unless we have committed a mortal sin which makes it sacrilege
What is clearly a lie, big or small is one of His Ten Commandments
There are seven deadly sins that leads to death, we consider it grave
God is not limited to the sacraments we still receive and I believe double
if thinking erroneously we committed a mortal sin,
just for humbling ourselves before God as a repented child
Know God is loving, gracious, and kind so much that He will let us know
Perfectly merciful more than we can comprehend
He works through us and in instances more than is noticed
Hungry to what extent by phases and His Justice individualized
Give way not to the world, deny the flesh, and act in the spirit
Listen not to the heart, sounds, feelings can be misleading, pray to use His love
Pray for discernment and to be open to the conscious God provides
Logical thinking and good decisions come from God, starting with prayer
His is sufficient and made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9)
the Holy Spirit that He sent “helps us in our weakness” (Romans 8:26).
I still have a high bar because nothing I do is good enough for Him
So in place, I will do my best to please Him and love the way I should
It is not so much how well we perform but how hungry for Jesus we are
we can learn from Saint Teresa to give everything to God, the good and bad
He will reach out to us in several ways to ensure His mercy and love
Many are the gifts, angels, blessings, graces, and prayers from above
Much love and God bless,
