Oh, Holy God, how I love thee. May compassion and love rule (Sonnet 43)

Our hearts softened as we don’t know the motive behind the hurt (Proverbs 21)

That we not cave to evil and love no matter what (Matthew 7:1, Amos 5:14, 15)

As You love us despite our weakness or the many times we fall (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Be kind to others, we are treated just the same (Luke 6:31)

Oh, sweet Living Jesus, how evil loves to discourage and disappoint (Psalm 37:27-29)

But the greater grows our love for those who forgot what it’s all about (John 15:13, Romans 5:8)

Your word, Your will, Your example, as You were crucified (Luke 23:34)

If You forgive those crucifying You, we endure with grace (Luke 23:34)

Crosses are our way not to go astray as we display divine embrace (Hebrews 3:10)

You are my Lord, all that is good comes from You (Psalm 16:2)

You were judged, it’s okay if we are too. You were hated (John 15:18-19)

So we don’t mind the many trials expected to go through (Romans 12:12)

But pray and pray and pray; what a battle we are in (Ephesians 6:12)

Be not moved, remember, greater is the Christ within (1 John 4:4)

How can we love better, gratitude in His perfect will through the tears (Romans 8:28)

Show us that narrow path not to react the way the world does (Matthew 7:13-14)

Remove any negativity from our lives and save us, gracious Lord (Philippians 4:6-7, James 4:7)

For in You is the joy and peace when we do His will despite its difficulties (John 16:33)

The cross of Christ preserves me, the love of God saves me (Corinthians 1:18)

Set our souls on fire, You are the truth and the devil, a liar (John 8:44)

Deny the flesh, have mercy, and mercy we receive (Galatians 5:24)

Be the light for those who grieve and choose to tenderly forgive (Ephesians 4:32)

Amid the storms of life, God my refuge leads as for Him we live (Psalm 46, Psalm 3)
