God is the Cure

Bless us oh Lord, these gifts which we are to receive from thy bounty (Psalm 103)

Said before every meal. To show gratitude for providing (Ephesians 5:20)

So when I say it before drinking water, I am reminding it’s not food (Matthew 6:25-34)

Water is also a gift and it put me to think (John 4:14)

Everything is a gift, as such we can say the same thing often (James 1:17)

We ask Him to bless us before court or any perceived cross (James 1:2-3, 12)

To bless us for the gift of decision making that it will be His (James 1:5, Proverbs 3:5-6)

Blessed for the gift of the heart opportunity and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)

Blessed for the gift of doing things right, virtue, and a willing spirit (Psalm 51:12)

Blessed for our weakness that gives way to these blogs (2 Corinthians 12:9)

The tenacity it builds, the endurance, the lessons, and the cross which sustains (Romans 12:12)

Blessed for the company we keep that brightens life (Proverbs 11:25)

Blessed to live and experience each miraculous day (Psalm 118:24)

Blessed to know His word, His wisdom, to have strength and pray (Colossians 1:9-10)

Blessed for the gift of hope, faith, and courage (Romans 15:13)

Blessed to be able give, love, and always forgive (Ephesians 4:32,)

Blessed to see Christ in others and every circumstance (Matthew 25:37-40)

Storms overflowing with beauty from those He provides (Isaiah 61:3)

Blessed for the gift of each day His care and perfect guidance (James 1:17)

Blessed to have a Holy God for a Father who’s almighty and loves us divinely (Ephesians 1:3)

I can go on and on including the many blessings unaware (Hebrews 13:2)

Imagine if we said, “Bless us, Lord, for this gift from Your bounty…”(Colossians 3:17)

…before we react, do, think, decide, receive, sleep, wake, and give (Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Before anything as much as we can remember (Isaiah 26:3)

Life is full of grateful moments, no matter what, once it’s noticed (Genesis 41:50-57, Luke 17:11-19)

And God opens our eyes to His light in the darkness, clearing the smoke (Acts 26:18)

Feeling blessed despite the struggle at all times (Isaiah 41:10)

A grateful heart is a happy one that can be constant ( Psalm 100:4)

And the more grateful we are the more we acknowledge His goodness (Psalm 107:1)

Blessed for new opportunities, every door closing that opens another (Revelation 3:8)

Chosen for greatness because our King is our Father (1 Peter 2:9)

Holy, merciful and gracious, above all things, like no other (Psalm 103:8, Exodus 34:6-7)
