Regardless the test

The priest stays silent at; “that we may be worthy of the promises of Christ” (2 Peter 1:4)

He is faithful, His promises are eternal and stand true (Psalm 145:13)

But it doesn’t mean it’s always available for you ( 1 Corinthians 6:12,)

My confidence in His promises derives from His mercy (Psalm 13:5, Hebrews 4:16)

Because I am still weak, still a sinner still reactive (Romans 7:19, Romans 3:23)

But those things I can control are choices (Proverbs 3:5-6)

To choose to forgive, bless, and pray for those who hurt you (Matthew 5:44, Luke 6:27-28)

To ask God not to hold their sin against them but to heal (Psalm 41:4)

And whatever way He does that is His will (Proverbs 16:3)

Which I cannot stop as He is the ultimate say (Proverbs 19:21)

I rather sacrifice, struggle, and endure to have Him within, any day (Hebrews 11:25)

It’s to lift others above yourself and give them your best (Philippians 2:3-4)

It’s to deny self for His glory willing to do what most won’t (Matthew 16:24, Luke 9:23)

It’s to stand for truth and justice against the odds (Isaiah 1:17, Isaiah 59:14)

And have courage under fire driven by faith (Isaiah 43:2$

Never to compromise His laws, making Him first (Psalm 119:1-4)

Because God is greater and more unbelievable is His love (1 John 4:8)

And so He doesn’t deal with us according to our sin (Psalm 103:10)

But our efforts and actions for He knows the heart (Jeremiah 17:10, 1 Samuel 16:7)

So when we do what we don’t want to just because He said (Romans 7:15-20)

When we don’t have to understand the rhyme or reason (Proverbs 3:5-6)

But trust in His plan, His goodness and might (Jeremiah 29:11)

That He will come through as no darkness overcomes His light (John 1:5)

Then we can count on His promises as we have given all we’ve got (Matthew 19:27)

And still we fall short but He makes up for the rest (Romans 3:23-24)

Choose Him every time fortified by His loyalty regardless the test (Psalm 31:23, Deuteronomy 31:6
