Oh, loving Lord. He’s good; even after 500 blogs, I can’t say enough (Psalm 107:1)
Somehow, He directs our steps towards prosperity and success (Psalm 37:23-24)
My puppy had a stomach hernia being surgically removed
Though, earlier, I had noticed what looked like a scab on her back
“It must have been the puppies rough playing,” I was told
That it was nothing and it should resolve on its own
The evil one is good at convincing us nothing is wrong
So it can get worse since satan thrives on misery and fear
I rather be safe than sorry, so I insisted the surgeon take a look
As he took the scab off, a circular pink smooth flesh appeared
This will heal, nothing to be done, the doctor said
Except this puppy would soon have to attend a dog show
For quicker healing, he would do a minor cosmetic surgery
Only to discover that under the muscle was hidden a malignant mass
I didn’t think it was normal for scabs to grow bigger
In a matter of days, unbeknown to me, rapid growth indicates cancer
Thanks to God, we caught it just in time, as He has always shown up
If the doctor wasn’t so kind as to go the extra mile in lieu of the show
Had I believed it was nothing when it appeared to be only a scab
Or that I should let it self heal even when the scab was removed
Or if she didn’t have a show to attend soon, that would require more
Then, the series of events would not have transpired as it did
To prevent a potential cancerous mass from growing too big
How often do we ignore things and let them go
When it’s something we should have attended right away
We can be easily fooled by so much reason to seek God and pray (Hebrews 11:6, Zephaniah 2:3)
He is the God of miracles who never ceases to amaze (Psalm 77:14)
Oh gracious Holy Father, trusting Your will empowered by grace (Philippians 2:13)
And after witnessing His might, a vet forever changed and saved
Providing the very best. With Him, we never lack (Psalm 34:9-10)
Grateful to God for His divine love and for always having our back (Romans 8:38-39)
Much love and God bless,
