A New Life

A brand new beginning. A new person. It’s a new way of thinking. God said He will restore everything lost and heal us. He said as His child we will be made new, that anything is possible through Him who strengthens us, proved His unconditional love, and was the greatest example of humility and perseverance.

Jesus told us to be perfect as His father is, and to leave the past behind. He said we will have trouble, but He will take the fight, and that He is always with us to help us in everything. He will not give up on us, never change, and always be true to His promises and His relentless love. He will show us purpose and give new meaning to life and suffering. He will save us and redeem us, no matter what we have done.

He will be our greatest comfort and teacher, given the direction of a loving father, through His Holy Spirit. He said we can place our burdens on Him for His yoke is light, and that faith will move mountains. All we need is to ask through prayer. No longer are we fooled by Satan’s lies. Our old habits and undesirable behaviors picked up along the way, did not have to continue. We make the choice to do what is pleasing to God. It takes effort on our part. When tempted to regress, we resist those temptations because God tells us we are better than that.

When doubt arises, we remember nothing is impossible for God. The phrase “I can’t” is eliminated from our vocabulary as there are no limitations. Instead, we are confident our potential and abilities come from God who is always ready and willing. Depression is not an issue when we discover the hope we find in God. Living His way makes us a better person, providing peace within, with others and our environment. Hardships increase our faith, which in return builds resilience and provides patience.

Prayer keeps us humble and illuminates the way. God can make us Holy and bring us Home to Heaven as he cares for us each day. Once in His strong hold, the forces of darkness can’t destroy us, and we won’t ever go astray.
