God is the Cure

When we embrace penance, prayer, and suffering, we are a true man

The words of Saint Francis, who was misjudged in his times

Deemed to be out of His mind and called a madman, it did not deter his faith

Often, when we don’t understand that which we have not experienced

Not aware of growing closer to Him until trials are often and more severe

In exercise, when reaching a plateau, we increase and intensify our routine

It is best to say nothing or write it down. I have come to realize

God sees you, hears you, and gets it even if no one else does

Having God and knowing His love is what truly matters

Have no fear, for God is with us, the most powerful who provides (Matthew (10:26-33, Psalm 46:1-3, Isaiah 41:10)

God does not delay, deny self and follow Him taking the cross every day (Luke 9:23-25)

Perfect timing, knows all that must happen for our good (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

He answers, never deaf to our cry and remember He suffers as well

Spiritual battles turned physical, and it is well with our soul (John 16:33)

Offer it up, confidence that Jesus is and has always been in control (Proverbs 19:21, Psalm 22:28, Colossians 1:17, Isaiah 45:7–9)

Does penance exist these days, and what does it mean?

Refrain from pleasing the flesh or from biological needs?

Our blessed Mother asked us to fast on Wednesdays and Fridays

And that’s a good start; if you are on the fence then pray, pray, and pray

Oh, the crosses, not easy to take but the sweetness it produces is worth it

Share in His agony in humility, trust and likeness we pray to achieve

He is our defender, guide, and comfort amid the storm, helping in every form (Psalm 62:5-7)

Be strong, courageous, disciplined, and true; adhere His commands (Joshua 1:9, 1 John 5:1-5)

Gracious, Holy, almighty, and ultimate goodness. In the best hands (Revelation 4:8)

Much love and God bless,
Aimee Cabo
